AI in simple terms is "Intelligent machines that can work & react like humans!" Basically, AI is the ability of a machine or computer program to think & learn! It is based on the idea of building machines capable of thinking, acting & learning like humans!

We don't have robotics assistants, yet but we use AI assisted software like Siri in Apple's iOS and Google Assistant In Google's Android. We benefit from AI through apps like Uber and Ola that use algorithms to connect drivers to passengers. Speech recognition & Face Recognition are common AI software used widely! Google's AI made news by beating the world 'Go champion', but its computing is also being used to answer email in Inbox, identify photos on Google Lens!

In spite of its inclusion in various fields its use in the healthcare industry is nascent & they have only yet taken baby steps in this direction! Here is where the vast opportunity to predict disease & be used as preventive healthcare platform!

From chronic disease & cancer, heart health to cardiology risk assessment, predicting health problems & help in prevention, there are nearly endless opportunity to leverage technology to deploy more precise, efficient, impactful interventions at exactly the right moment in a patient's care, & making it possible to prevent disease/illness!

Learning Algorithms can be more precise and accurate as they interact with training data, allowing humans to gain never-before insights into diagnostics, care, treatments & be able to predict & hence prevent disease & suffering!

The need for new & innovative healthcare platforms based on AI is the need of the hour with the lack of time & high stress lives we lead. AI can play a leading role in patient care & preventive care!
